Important information about Candida
What is Candida? It is a yeast that can lead to a yeast infection and can also become a fungus that can attack the gut. If left long enough it can cause the gut to leak out undigested foods into the bloodstream and it can also have a negative impact on the liver as it becomes overworked. Sounds nasty doesn’t it. Sadly there are so many symptoms it is not always clear what is wrong with you. You may have headaches, sleep a lot, feel depressed or have mood swings, eat more sugar, dislike smells that were fine before.
These are just six symptoms out of over a hundred. It is why you may have found that your doctors are unable to accurately diagnose you. Maybe they have said you have the flu, yet it has lasted far too long for this to be true. Do not despair you are not a hypochondriac and nor are you alone. There are many sufferers that have not been correctly diagnosed becasue these symptoms really could be anything. Consider the following advice.
Unfortunately, these symptoms can stay with you sometimes for several years before it is treated or diagnosed. It can be extremely depressing for sufferers when they are not being helped by the medical profession. Try to not let yourself get overtaken by these feelings. Take back control of your body, use some of the suggested changes below and find a doctor that will listen to your concerns.
Your diet is the main change that needs to take place in order to make a positive impact on the Candida. Cut out sugar, yeast, alcohol, starchy foods like potatoes and fermented products. These are all food for the Candida, it feeds on it and spreads. If you find it difficult to plan meals around these new restrictions try looking at some recipes online or cookbooks. Another thing to help control the yeast is taking Acidophilus, bought from various types of health stores.
Finally remember that fungus loves to grow in dark, hot, moist areas. Therefore wash and dry properly, look after yourself in hot humid weather conditions, and try to de-stress. As with any illness stress never helps.

Hi. Different diet recomendations candida and other things have been talked about w/ my doctor, who I love. She now thinks my sinus problems may require sinus surgery which honestly scares me to death.
Maybe balloon sinuplasty surgery instead? I want to work WITH my body if possible.
Anything else I should know or try?

Sorry to hear about your condition. I would suggest that you try to change your diet for at least three weeks and monitor if there’s any improvement.
• Stop eating refined sugar and carbohydrates which promotes the growth of yeast.
• Dairy products and cow’s milk products in particular, should be avoided to because they can lead to allergic reactions create excessive mucus. So, try to avoid diary, red meat and soya when you have sinus infection entirely because they actually cause more mucous to form.
• Avoid any food containing yeast such as bread made with yeast, cheese, mushrooms and beer. Eat plenty of proteins, non-starchy vegetables, nuts, and complex carbohydrates.
• Drink plenty of water, herbal teas or fresh juices.
• Take food rich in antioxidants like broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, spinach.
• An alkaline food plan, which is based on consumption of alkaline forming foods (foods with calcium, cesium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, almonds, green juices, and most fresh vegetables etc.) with moderate consumption of foods that form acids (most meats, fish, dairy and grain products) can help you regain your alkaline quotient to better control candida growth.
